Designed in demanding environments. With high chromium content and sufficient nickel content, the addition of copper makes it have strong acid resistance, especially high resistance to chloride crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, and it is not easy to cause plaque and cracks. Excellent corrosion resistance and other steel grades, with good processability and weldability, can be used in pressure vessels.

1. Welding performance
Like ordinary stainless steel, the 90 4 L can be welded using a variety of welding methods. The most common welding method is manual arc welding or inert gas welding. The welding rod or welding wire metal is based on the composition of the base metal and has higher purity. The molybdenum content is higher than that of the base metal. Preheating is generally not required before welding, but in cold outdoor operations, in order to avoid condensation of water vapor, joints or adjacent areas can be uniformly heated. Note that the local temperature should not exceed 100 °C to avoid carbon accumulation and cause intergranular corrosion.
2. Machining performance
The machining characteristics of the 90 4 L are similar to those of other austenitic stainless steels, which have a tendency to stick to the knife and work hard during processing. The positive rake cemented carbide tool shall be used, and the vulcanized and chlorinated oil shall be used as the cutting coolant. The equipment and process shall be based on the reduction of work hardening.
3. Production process
904L stainless steel sheet, which is a general-purpose corrosion-resistant material, can be used for high-performance products after cold rolling, and can be used in many fields including food industry equipment, kitchen utensils, and electronics. The performance requirements of cold-rolled stainless steel 904L stainless steel sheets are different in various fields. Especially when the thickness of stainless steel strips is small, it is extremely important to seek comprehensive cold working properties.
