HastelloyC is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with tungsten and very low silicon and carbon content.
HastelloyC is characterized by:
Excellent corrosion resistance to most corrosive media under oxidation and reduction conditions.
Excellent resistance to point corrosion, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking performance.

HastelloyC corrosion resistance:
The high content of molybdenum and chromium enables HastelloyC alloy to resist erosion by various chemical media, including reducing media, such as phosphoric acid, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, chlorine gas, organic or inorganic medium containing chlorine.
With a high nickel content, HastelloyC is highly resistant to stress corrosion cracking caused by chlorine, even in hot chloride solutions
