Inconel718 process performance and requirements:
1. Due to the high content of niobium in Inconel718 alloy, the degree of niobium segregation in the alloy is directly related to the metallurgical process.
2. In order to avoid excessive segregation of elements in the ingot, the diameter of the ingot used is not more than 508 mm.
3. The homogenized alloy has good hot workability, and the billet heating temperature of the ingot should not exceed 1120 °C.
4. The average grain size of the alloy is closely related to the degree of deformation of the forging and the final forging temperature.
